DIGITAL FEEDING GAMES FOR SPEECH TELETHERAPY OR IN PERSON THERAPY

THREE WAYS TO PLAY

  1. You can choose to play with one of the 47 included phoneme slides. 14 phonemes are covered in this activity in initial, medial, final and mixed positions. As you feed the item food, speech words appear where the food used to be. There are 10 words/item food on each slide.
  2. OR you can play the open-ended slide (there are no targets hidden under the item food).
  3. OR you can create your own version of this game by inserting your own image targets under the item food.

Important Information!

Computer Users

If you are using these on a computer, you will need to open them in the desktop version of PowerPoint (2016 or newer). We can NOT guarantee these will work in the browser-based web app version of PowerPoint on a computer.  If you want to add your own targets you need the paid version of PowerPoint, not the read-only version! HOWEVER, even without the editing capabilities, you can still play this game and, as-is, this is a comprehensive articulation, and open-ended, game.

iPad Users

If you want to add your own targets you need to edit the game on your computer, even if you intend to use it on an iPad afterward. For editing, you need the paid version of PowerPoint, not the read-only version! HOWEVER, even without the editing capabilities, you can still play this game and, as-is, this is a comprehensive articulation, and open-ended, game. If you are using these on an iPad you will need to open them in the free iPad app version of PowerPoint. No paid 365 subscription is needed for these games when played on an iPad.

Teletherapy Use

To play these games in teletherapy you need to open the game on your computer and then share your screen within your teletherapy platform. Then IF your platform allows it you can share mouse controls so the student can interact with the game. This step is NOT essential, you can still use these in a fun engaging way without giving mouse controls, you can just interact with the game for the student. In this situation I have the student tell me what to choose and when to do certain things in the game. It helps them maintain a sense of control and participation.
