Digital Speech Therapy Materials

Digital Shop the List Game for Speech Therapy

This editable Digital Shop the List Game for Speech Therapy combines 2 of our favorite games! Shopping-type games with lists AND cooking-type games! Both types of games are a hit in my therapy room so I have made an interactive digital version. Your students are going to have so much fun playing this! You can use this game in teletherapy on a computer, or you can use it on a smartboard or on your iPad!

Static Pins Shop the list Lunch Theme Editable Game.

This PowerPoint game is formatted to be editable so you can add your own targets to show up on the cards that are then flipped to reveal ingredients! There is also an opened ended version included. I have also included pre-made articulation photo cards for many phonemes, but you can also add any images you like. You can also add written questions if you prefer that format. To learn more you can watch the tutorial video found here.

DIGITAL SHOP THE LIST GAME

How Game Play Works:
  1. Flip over cards to reveal food items.
  2. Go to the list page to see which meal needs the ingredient you uncovered.
  3. Now go to the correct food page and cross off the food item you uncovered. Watch as that same ingredient appears on the meal!
  4. The game is over once one person, or all people have finished making their meals. You can play cooperatively and aim to finish all 4 meals together OR play competitively to finish building your meal first.

Important Information!

Computer Users

You will need to open this game in the desktop version of PowerPoint (2016 or newer). We can NOT guarantee this will work in the browser-based web app version of PowerPoint on a computer. This game works in PowerPoint for Mac and Windows.

iPad Users

This game can be used on an iPad but first you need to edit it on your computer. Once you have added your targets you can send the file to your iPad and open it in the iPad app version of PowerPoint. A tutorial is included that shows you how to do this.

Teletherapy Use

To play these games in teletherapy you need to open the game on your computer and then share your screen within your teletherapy platform. Then IF your platform allows it you can share mouse controls so the student can interact with the game. This step is NOT essential, you can still use these in a fun engaging way without giving mouse controls, you can just interact with the game for the student. In this situation I have the student tell me what to choose and when to do certain things in the game. It helps them maintain a sense of control and participation.
